TestFlight I can't add internal testing group to my recent build

I'm the account holder I've using test flight a long ago, but today I faced this problem for my forst time

The group is there but inactive ?!

18 March 2025, same issue, did anyone figure out why?

Having the same issue. I'm unable to add my internal testing group, it is grayed out

Add a new internal group, and untick the "Enable automatic distribution" checkbox, I'm able to add this group to my new build.

Same issue for the first time today, we can add build to external tester and push it into review but impossible to add it for internal testers ...

I was able to resolve this error by Updating Test information and pushing different builds for both Testflight internal testing, and Appstore connect as if i'm going deploying the app live to the public.

You should be persistent when you experience this problem. This is bug on testlight when you have same build pushed at same time.

I am having the same issue. No internal testers can be assigned

Created a new internal testing group and un-checked the box " Enable Automatic Distribution" and it allowed me to add my internal testing group. New build version will not show up on testflight nor any invite has been sent out. So halfway solved.

Can confirm this is happening still - have tried the creating another group with un-checked the box " Enable Automatic Distribution" and that did not send a build to TestFlight - Have also tried the add "Test" under review notes which did not work either. Apple really needs to address this ASAP

Seeing this as well... March 18. 2025.. Probably just sit on it for now and see if it solves itself

also having this issue. Only happening for one branch at the moment

This issue starting happening to me today as well. Created a new internal beta group, added myself to it, and was able to assign that group to the new build. However, build does not show up in TestFlight and it has been about 5-6 hrs.

I was able to resolve the issue in my case, by adding "App Uses Non-Exempt Encryption" to the Xcode project Info.plist

I had been just clicking the 'manage compliance' link that would be shown by every build I uploaded, and that had always worked fine.

As soon as I added the "App Uses Non-Exempt Encryption" key & value ('NO' in my case) to info.plist, the next build I uploaded to App Connect was delivered within a couple minutes to TestFlight.

Same here. Thank you for sharing.
