Downloaded XCode Beta Version 26.0 beta (17A5241e). However the user interface is the same as public release Xcode. No Glassy tab navigation or LLM interface.. Also Foundation Models Framework unavailable or cannot be found.
PLEASE HELP!?? Am I missing a configuration?
What are the steps to get this working. I am on the latest Mac Sequoia 15.5 OS.

I have non-consumable and consumable in-app purchases in my app. The tutorial I was following stated Transaction.currentEntitlements includes unfinished consumables, which is incorrect according to the documentation. Is the correct way to handle unfinished consumables (and non-consumables) to implement Transaction.updates and call finish() if it’s verified? The documentation says that listener will receive unfinished transactions once upon app launch, so with that, do I understand correctly you do not need to implement Transaction.unfinished unless you want to look for unfinished transactions manually later on? Otherwise what is the correct and most recommended way to handle unfinished consumables? Is there a way to test that scenario in Xcode?
I'm running macOS 15.5. I now have Xcode 26 and I'm testing my iOS app against iOS 26. I've encountered several UIKit / iOS 26 bugs I'd like to report. In Feedback Assistant I choose "Developer Technologies & SDKs". Eventually I get asked "What build does the issue occur on?". The list of choices is:
iOS 18.2 Seed 4
iOS 18.1.1
iOS 17.7.2
An earlier iOS build
I'm not sure
So how to I report this as an iOS 26 beta 1 issue?
I'm encountering an issue when trying to run the iOS Simulator 18.4 or newer with Xcode 16.4 and later, including beta versions like Xcode 26 beta. The simulator fails to launch with the following error:
dyld[50998]: Library not loaded: /usr/lib/swift/libswiftWebKit.dylib
Referenced from: <65B82F6E-9DAE-38B8-A416-2725E93B8830> /Users/[REDACTED]/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Devices/E375287B-CE5C-4436-BAF7-FC958EE1E2A2/data/Containers/Bundle/Application/94B733EB-B7E8-4020-8B37-007C55AA3647/[APP_NAME].app/[APP_NAME].debug.dylib

What works:
With Xcode 16.3, I can successfully run all simulators, including iOS 18.3.1 and 18.4.
What fails:
Starting with Xcode 16.4, only the iOS 18.3.1 simulator launches successfully.
Attempting to run iOS 18.4 or 18.5 results in the above error.
What I've tried:
Cleaned build folder
Deleted derived data
Reset and reinstalled simulators via Xcode’s Devices & Simulators window
Reinstalled Xcode entirely (including command line tools)
Has anyone else experienced this issue with Xcode 16.4+ and iOS 18.4+ simulators? Any known workarounds or fixes?
Thanks in advance for any help!
Looking at some of the latest release notes, it appears that lowest supported version is iOS 15.0 for all versions of Xcode 16. Considering that Xcode 16 is the minimum version for submitting apps to the App Store, I would assume that means that Apple expects apps to be on 15.0+.
However, knowing that you can manually override this setting in Xcode, there seems to be a lack of clarity on what the true minimum is. Looking at the App Store, it appears there are some apps that can go back as far as iOS 12.0.
Is there a definitive way to know what is the true minimum that the App Store accepts?
Apple just introduced a new Challenges feature in Game Center (WWDC 2025). I have Game Center enabled for my app and have working leaderboards (and achievements). Now I want to implement challenges (connected to my leaderboards). But the Game Center Challenges not showing in App Store Connect or Xcode 16.4
I have a working GameCenterResources file in Xcode and it allows me to add Achievement, Leaderboard, Leaderboard Set, but no Challenges.
I'm based out of Europe. Any ideas?

It's not yet fully clear why and when does this crash occur, but I'm creating this post so there's a centralized thread for this.
Some hints collected so far:
The crash is occurring for existing Xcode projects opened with new Xcode 26.0 beta (17A5241e); no one's been able to reproduce on a project created in Xcode 26. I even tried creating a project with Xcode 16.2 and open it in Xcode 26, but it's all working fine there (don't have older Xcode at the moment, to try with many versions)
It crashes right at the line of code that initializes URLSessionConfiguration. If you call URLSession() without parameters (which is deprecated as of iOS 13), the session initializes without the crash.
It's NOT occurring only for libraries installed through package manages. In a project where it crashes, one should be able to reproduce by adding URLSessionConfiguration.default as the first line in didFinishLaunchingWithOptions
It crashes when running an app on an iOS 26 simulator. (I don't have a device running beta iOS 26 to test on it!) It's working fine when running the app on a simulator or a device running iOS 18 or older.

Sorry to not be able to provide more info at the moment. I wanted to report this so in case someone from Apple knows about it, we could at least get some feedback or workarounds, until fix is released -- and, to prevent us all from duplicating this report in repositories of each library, as this isn't related to libraries.
Just downloaded XCode 26 and I see build fails despite Metal toolchain 26.0 downloaded. What am I missing?
cannot execute tool 'metal' due to missing Metal Toolchain; use: xcodebuild -downloadComponent MetalToolchain
I had this happen last year too. Can’t remember how I solved the issue. I think I just had to wait and the 3rd beta opened properly. I went into terminal and accepted the Xcode agreement there, but still no go. I'm considering reinstalling MacOS because it doesn't seem like others are having this issue. Any ideas?
I double click on the Xcode beta, the agreement screen pops up. I click on agree and I either double click my watch button or type in my password and then nothing. The pop-up doesn't disappear and Xcode never opens. I'm on MacOS Sequoia 15.5.
I just downloaded Xcode26, and am trying to download the new simulator to be able to run and test my app. But the downloads folder just shows that it's stuck on "Fetching download information ..." even 15 minutes after it started. I tried restarting Xcode but didn't help. Internet connection is good. Any tips to get it working?
I have an older Macbook, and it only supports Xcode 15.2, and I want to be able to work with my iPhone SE 3rd gen, which currently has the iOS 26 beta on it. Is there a place I can find the download for that, and can I even run it on that version of Xcode? If not, can I download a newer version of Xcode on MacOS Ventura?
This is a hybrid app built with JavaScript (Vue) + Capacitor. It is a reader app and has been authorized by Apple to use the External Link Account Entitlement, allowing users to manage their subscriptions outside of the app.
I have implemented the External Link Account API. When I click on "Gerenciar Assinatura em...", I use the External Link Account API to check if the modal is available (using ExternalLinkAccount.canOpen()). I always get "false".

I believe this is due to the fact that I am in a development environment. My project is configured correctly in the following files: info.plist and App.entitlements. I also have the authorization in my profile visible in Xcode. I have attached screenshots for validation. The question is: should the External Link Account API work in a test environment? I am testing the build in Xcode with a physical iPhone with iOS 18.

I'm trying to provide custom localized descriptions for the iOS notification permission popup in my app, which supports multiple locales. To achieve this, I'm using InfoPlist.strings files per locale with the following keys:
NSUserNotificationsUsageDescription
NSUserTrackingUsageDescription
The issue I'm facing is that NSUserTrackingUsageDescription is working correctly across all tested locales, but NSUserNotificationsUsageDescription only works for some locales.
Locales tested:
Working: ja, tr, fr-CA
Not working: fr-BE, nl-BE
In each case, the correct localized NSUserTrackingUsageDescription appears, but the NSUserNotificationsUsageDescription falls back to the default or does not appear as expected in fr-BE and nl-BE.
I'm using Xcode 16 and testing on both iOS 18 simulator and physical devices, and the issue is consistent across both.
Any insights on whether this is a known issue in iOS or if there are additional steps needed for NSUserNotificationsUsageDescription to localize properly would be greatly appreciated.
I have a React Native app that is complete. Works fine on device when debugging.
When I archive and upload I receive an error that says I have missing DSYMs for Hermes.
I check bundle contents and my app's dsyms are present but none for Hermes.
I have tried everything ai suggests and I cannot figure it out.
How can I get the Hermes dsyms included in my archive so I can upload my app to Apple store?
Thank you
Hi, I am making a AI-Powered app that makes api requests to the openai API. However, for security, I set up a vercel backend that handles the API calls securely, while my frontend makes a call to my vercel-hosted https endpoint. Interestingly, whenever I try to make that call on my device, an iPhone, I get this error:
Task <91AE4DE0-2845-4348-89B4-D3DD1CF51B65>.<10> finished with error [-1003] Error Domain=NSURLErrorDomain Code=-1003 "A server with the specified hostname could not be found." UserInfo={_kCFStreamErrorCodeKey=-72000, NSUnderlyingError=0x1435783f0 {Error Domain=kCFErrorDomainCFNetwork Code=-1003 "(null)" UserInfo={_kCFStreamErrorDomainKey=10, _kCFStreamErrorCodeKey=-72000, _NSURLErrorNWResolutionReportKey=Resolved 0 endpoints in 3ms using unknown from query, _NSURLErrorNWPathKey=satisfied (Path is satisfied), interface: pdp_ip0[lte], ipv4, ipv6, dns, expensive, uses cell}}, _NSURLErrorFailingURLSessionTaskErrorKey=LocalDataTask <91AE4DE0-2845-4348-89B4-D3DD1CF51B65>.<10>, _NSURLErrorRelatedURLSessionTaskErrorKey=(

), NSLocalizedDescription=A server with the specified hostname could not be found., NSErrorFailingURLStringKey=https://[my endpoint], NSErrorFailingURLKey=https://[my endpoint], _kCFStreamErrorDomainKey=10}
I'm completely stuck because when I directly make https requests to other api's like openai's endpoint, without the proxy, it finds the server completely fine. Running my endpoint on terminal with curl also works as intended, as I see api key usages. But for some reason, on my project, it does not work. I've looked through almost every single post I could find online, but a lot all of the solutions are outdated and unhelpful.
I'm willing to schedule a call, meeting, whatever to resolve this issue and get help more in depth as well.
I am migrating your application to Xcode 16 and swift 6 and in the process of creating the build I am stumbling over this issue. I have tried several fixes recommended by AI which didn't solve this issue.
The pods have been updated to the latest supported platform versions.
I appreciate some guidance on how to resolve this compiling issue.

Hi all,
I’m running into an issue with provisioning profiles not including the com.apple.developer.push-notifications entitlement — even though everything seems to be configured correctly.
Here's what I’ve done:
Checked the App ID has Push Notifications enabled.
I’ve clicked “Configure” and created a Production APNs certificate under the App ID.
I’ve regenerated the provisioning profiles (Ad Hoc and App Store).
I can see within the profiles within App Store Connect that the push notifications capability is listed
I’ve downloaded and decoded the profiles using:
security cms -D -i profile.mobileprovision > decoded.plist
But com.apple.developer.push-notifications is still missing under the <key>Entitlements</key> block.
This is causing issues because:
When I submit the build to eas I receive this error from XCode:
- Provisioning profile "*** Adhoc" doesn't include the com.apple.developer.push-notifications entitlement. Profile qualification is using entitlement definitions that may be out of date. Connect to network to update. (in target '***' from project '***')
Refer to "Xcode Logs" below for additional, more detailed logs.
To isolate the issue further I:
Created a completely new App ID, enabling Push Notifications from the start.
Created new APNs certificate.
Generated new provisioning profiles with a valid distribution certificate.
Still no push entitlement embedded in the profile.
Question:
Has anyone else encountered this issue where Push Notifications are enabled and configured, but the entitlement still fails to embed in the profile?
Thanks in advance.
Hello,
I'm working on a Unity game which uses Apple Arcade Cloudkit Unity plugin. Cloud save works on all platforms except visionOS. I tried to debug using visionOS 2.4 Simulator. When the game starts XCode display the following error:
DllNotFoundException: Unable to load DLL 'CloudKitWrapper'. Tried the load the following dynamic libraries: Unable to load dynamic library '/CloudKitWrapper' because of 'Failed to open the requested dynamic library (0x06000000) dlerror() = dlopen(/CloudKitWrapper, 0x0005): tried: '/Users/seb/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData/Unity-VisionOS-akwybgjotadlwrghmmfkhbhpuduf/Build/Products/Debug-xrsimulator/CloudKitWrapper' (no such file), '/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Volumes/xrOS_22O237/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Profiles/Runtimes/xrOS 2.4.simruntime/Contents/Resources/RuntimeRoot/usr/lib/system/introspection/CloudKitWrapper' (no such file), '/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Volumes/xrOS_22O237/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Profiles/Runtimes/xrOS 2.4.simruntime/Contents/Resources/RuntimeRoot/CloudKitWrapper' (no such file), '/CloudKitWrapper' (no such file)

I opened up the "Debug-xrsimulator" and indeed there is no CloudKitWrapper. However, if I "show content" on the app and navigate to the "Frameworks" folder, all Apple Arcade plugins are here, including CloudKit. I guess the plugin is in the right location, but the code tries to load it from the wrong path.
Hi,
today I upgraded Xcode to Version 16.4 (16F6) and the Simulator to version Version 16.0 (1042.1) since then I get the following message in the debugger with any project when running the simulator:
load_eligibility_plist: Failed to open /Users/xxxx/Library/Developer/CoreSimulator/Devices/1B9FA609-7502-42DE-93A8-B856E2618A7F/data/Containers/Data/Application/4FA1B071-A5F1-4E00-B3AC-630E273DD900/private/var/db/eligibilityd/eligibility.plist: No such file or directory
I have checked other similar questions but in my case I do not have Cocoapods installed.
Hello,
I've encountered unexpected behavior related to version information in our app logs, and I'd like to ask for some advice.
We reviewed logs collected from a user running our app (currently available on the App Store). The logs are designed to include both the build number and the app version.
Based on the build number in the logs, we believe the installed app version on the user's device is 1.0.3.
However, the app version recorded in the logs is 1.1.5, which is the latest version currently available on the App Store.
In our project, we set the app version using the MARKETING_VERSION environment variable.
This value is configured via XcodeGen, and we define it in a YAML file.
Under normal circumstances, the value defined in the YAML file (MARKETING_VERSION = 1.0.3) should be embedded in the app and reflected in the logs. But in this case, the version from the current App Store release (1.1.5) appears instead, which was unexpected.
We'd like to know what might cause this behavior, and if there are any known factors that could lead to this.
Also, is it possible that MARKETING_VERSION might somehow dynamically reflect the version currently available on the App Store?
