I'm pretty excited for the all new iOS 26 redesign, but what I'm most excited for is the call screening feature to avoid unwanted calls.
I downloaded the developer's beta on my secondary device to report bugs, but call screening doesn't work on it even though it's turned on. I already sent a feedback report, but I'm not sure if it's just a beta bug or that my iPhone won't support it. I haven't found much info about it.
It's a 2nd gen SE.
Thanks.

Prior to iOS 26, it was possible to design an inputAccessoryView(Controller) that would integrate seamlessly with the system keyboard, by which I mean appearing as a natural extension of the system keyboard. For example, using CYRKeyboardButton https://github.com/tmcintos/CYRKeyboardButton.
To date, I have successfully used this to provide an enhanced numeric key row within my apps, which is a distinguishing feature of these apps. It took a lot of engineering and testing effort to perfect this design. However, with iOS 26 the design is completely broken due to the system keyboard UI change, which makes it impossible to display an inputAccessoryView seamlessly along the top of the system keyboard (see attached screenshots).
In my opinion, it is just plain reckless for Apple to make these kinds of trivial UI changes, which break existing app designs without adding any significant value to the user experience.

I installed the WWDC beta on UTM and I'm unable to find the option to disable the so-called "Natural Scrolling". Has this been removed and if so, can we get it put back?
I use a mouse with scroll wheel and everything is going opposite the direction I expect in the macOS 26 VM.
It’s very annoying but on my iPhone 12 Pro I keep getting the accessibility app with the microphone on and it keeps opening the app by itself and it’s a blank screen and every time I close it it just reopens. I don’t know why it keeps doing this, but it drives me crazy. Does anyone know what else to do? I also have the beta iOS 26 but it’s been doing this even with the past update.
Hi community my name is Adam Robles. I have a question. I recently downloaded the beta on my iPad Pro 13 inch and I noticed where are the iPad wallpapers I only get one wallpaper, but where what happened to the wallpaper that was released with iPad last year
Currently there's only an option to link your OpenAI account to use ChatGPT within Xcode on MacOS 26 Beta. Apparently with other services like Claude you can specify which model you'd like to use, but there's no such option for ChatGPT.
Is this coming, or is this working as designed?
getting an interesting error attempting to compile my app in Xcode 26 beta.
error: Unable to find module dependency: '_MediaPlayer_AppIntents' (in target 'icatcher' from project 'icatcher')
note: A dependency of main module 'MainModuleCrossImportOverlays' (in target 'icatcher' from project 'icatcher')

Not sure what to try and pull to fix this issue
I have added multiple status icons to my project, in the form of .icon files created with Icon Composer. The main app icon works, but the status icons are not working.
I am attempting to load the images from the asset catalog using NSImage imageNamed:, and apply them to the NSApp dockTile using NSGlassEffectContainerView. I don't even know if that attempt is going to work, as I never get past the stage of NSImage loading the icons.
Maybe someone on the forums knows what to do there? I'd be willing to use one of my coding support incidents to work through this if necessary, as my two incidents will expire as my subscription rolls over in August anyway.
My project lives at https://github.com/losnoco/cog/, and the Tahoe attempt WIP lives in the wip.tahoe branch, with the latest commit as of this post being the attempt to adapt the Dock Icon generation.
I'd love to know if I can adapt this easily. I'm also still trying to support existing non-Glass custom .png icons the user can add to their profile folder with buttons in the preferences, as well as supporting legacy status icons on pre-Tahoe installs. I also try to add a progress bar to the dock tile view when the app is processing something at length.
This is related to the WWDC presentation, What's new in Metal rendering for immersive apps..
Specifically, the macOS spatial streaming to visionOS feature: For reference: the page in the docs.
The presentation demonstrates it using a full immersive space and Metal rendering using compositor services.
I'd like clarity on a few things:
Is the remote device wireless, or must the visionOS device be connected via a wired connected?
Is there a limit to the number of remote devices, and if not, could macOS render different things per remote device simultaneously?
Can I also use mixed mode with passthrough enabled, instead of just a fully-immersive mode?
Can I use RealityKit instead of Metal? If so, may I have an example, or would someone point to an example?
I am maintaining an enterprise iOS app that does a lot of customization to the tab bar's colors based on the organization signed into the app.
Is there a way to revert back to the old style full bottom tab bar rather than the new iOS 26 floating version?
I know last year in iPad OS you could force the bottom tab using traitOverrides, but I'm not seeing a similar option for this.
If anyone has any ideas it would be greatly appreciated.
When I build my app for iPad OS, either 26, or 18.5, as well as iOS on 16.5 from Xcode 26 with UIDesignRequiresCompatibility enabled my app is crashing as it loads the main UIViewController, a subclassed UITabBarController which is being loaded programatically from a Storyboard from another SplashScreen ViewController.
On i(Pad)OS 18.5 I get this error:
Thread 1: "Could not instantiate class named _TtGC5UIKit17UICoreHostingViewVCS_21ToolbarVisualProvider8RootView_ because no class named _TtGC5UIKit17UICoreHostingViewVCS_21ToolbarVisualProvider8RootView_ was found; the class needs to be defined in source code or linked in from a library (ensure the class is part of the correct target)"
On iPadOS 26 I get this error:
UIKitCore/UICoreHostingView.swift:54: Fatal error: init(coder:) has not been implemented
There is no issue building from Xcode 16.4, regardless of targeted i(Pad)OS.
Support for menus in Storyboards is yanked without ever being deprecated (to my knowledge)? Really? WTF? This is a major step backwards, Apple.
So nice to have to spend a month rewriting my app after WWDC each year. Re-creating a complex menu hierarchy in code is exactly what I wanted to do. Ugh.
That time of year again. I’ve tried multiple restarts, and it still won’t load. I’m not sure if/how to remove the beta profile at this point (that seems to have worked for previous betas), given that the beta settings are hidden.
iOS 26 added smoothness to CIRoundedRectangleGenerator, for use with CIFilter.roundedRectangleGenerator. What should the smoothness value be to achieve the same corner curve as CALayerCornerCurve.continuous? Does it need to be calculated based on the extent size, if so, how?
I'm running macOS 15.5. I now have Xcode 26 and I'm testing my iOS app against iOS 26. I've encountered several UIKit / iOS 26 bugs I'd like to report. In Feedback Assistant I choose "Developer Technologies & SDKs". Eventually I get asked "What build does the issue occur on?". The list of choices is:
iOS 18.2 Seed 4
iOS 18.1.1
iOS 17.7.2
An earlier iOS build
I'm not sure
So how to I report this as an iOS 26 beta 1 issue?
In the beta of Icon Composer, I see macOS, iOS, and watchOS icons, but there is nothing about visionOS and tvOS. Those icons are particularly hard and it would be great if this app worked for developing icons for all Apple platforms.
I tried asking this in a WWDC group lab, but they didn't get to it and suggested posting to the forum.
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to submit the first app for Beta Review to do Beta in Testflight, created a separate workflow for Beta Build and stuck at the step of filling in the "Information for Beta Review" form.
After filling in all the fields and clicking "Save" it just shows me an empty popup with "Close" button, and I see that request for https://appstoreconnect.apple.com/ci/api/teams//testflight/information-v2?product_id=ACTUAL_ID_REPLACED_HERE is failing with 404.
Does anyone have any idea what I might be doing wrong?
Thanks and appreciate the help
I set iOS 26 to install overnight, put my iPhone 16 Pro on the MagSafe charger, watched it charge just fine, and went to sleep. When I woke up the iPhone showed the “plug into power” dead battery screen. I took it off MagSafe and put it back on. A half hour later the phone was warm but still wouldn’t power on, just showed the battery screen with a little red in it. I took it off MagSafe and plugged it into my iPad charging brick with USB cable to give it more power, still it did not turn on. I tried holding all the buttons to try to force a restart but didn’t work.
For anyone else encountering this, do this to enter DFU mode and restore it. I had to do it a few times before I got the timing right.
Plug into your Mac and open Finder (or apparently a PC with Apple Devices or iTunes)
Press and quickly release volume up
Press and quickly release volume down
Press and hold right side button
When the battery disappears and screen goes black, hold volume down and continue holding side button
After a couple seconds release the side button and continue holding volume down
A prompt to allow connecting to the iPhone should appear after a couple seconds, click Allow, and it’ll say the iPhone entered DFU mode - proceed to restore the firmware
It's not yet fully clear why and when does this crash occur, but I'm creating this post so there's a centralized thread for this.
Some hints collected so far:
The crash is occurring for existing Xcode projects opened with new Xcode 26.0 beta (17A5241e); no one's been able to reproduce on a project created in Xcode 26. I even tried creating a project with Xcode 16.2 and open it in Xcode 26, but it's all working fine there (don't have older Xcode at the moment, to try with many versions)
It crashes right at the line of code that initializes URLSessionConfiguration. If you call URLSession() without parameters (which is deprecated as of iOS 13), the session initializes without the crash.
It's NOT occurring only for libraries installed through package manages. In a project where it crashes, one should be able to reproduce by adding URLSessionConfiguration.default as the first line in didFinishLaunchingWithOptions
It crashes when running an app on an iOS 26 simulator. (I don't have a device running beta iOS 26 to test on it!) It's working fine when running the app on a simulator or a device running iOS 18 or older.

Sorry to not be able to provide more info at the moment. I wanted to report this so in case someone from Apple knows about it, we could at least get some feedback or workarounds, until fix is released -- and, to prevent us all from duplicating this report in repositories of each library, as this isn't related to libraries.
Hey, I cant can update or downgrade to a newer Version like IOS18.5
Can someone help me? And will Apple fix that?
