cannot find DeveloperDiskImage.dmg on iphone 18.5

Hi, I've an old mac book with old Xcode and my iphone is new 16 pro with 18.5. I've connected my iphone to my brother new mac book to copy his Xcode files from /Applications/Xcode.app/Contents/Developer/Platforms/iPhoneOS.platform/DeviceSupport/18.5 (22F76)" that I'll be able to debug my application on my old Mac book. I succeeded to download Symbols folder and Info.plist. however there are missing DeveloperDiskImage.dmg and DeveloperDiskImage.dmg.signature files. Couldn't find them on my brothers machine. Someone can help me understand why I cannot find them or provide the needed files for me to able to debug using my iphone?

The implementation details of how Xcode works with iPhones have changed. Apple moved away from using DeveloperDiskImage.dmg and signature files since iOS 17.

I doubt anyone here is able to help you because what you aim to do strays far from the main supported path and I doubt the forum moderators will allow people to share Apple's copyrighted proprietary materials in ways not officially supported.

Your best bet is to update to the latest Xcode version your MacBook supports and if that Xcode version doesn't support your iOS 18.5 device then I'm afraid your best option is to ugprade your developer machine.

You might be able to find some creative GitHub project that might try to provide a solution for your conundrum, but there be dragons and they'd be much better suited to help you with any questions you might have about the files Xcode needs.

I cannot update my Xcode, since my machine is old. Because of that I needed to copy the files from a newer machine. My brother has a newer machine that is working with 18.5 and this is why I’ve tried to copy it from his machine. I needed more time to debug my code and couldn’t on my machine.can you point me to dragons on GitHub that might help me? BTW I believe there is another solution to use an older iPhone is that correct?
