Hello, I normally don't update to the latest macOS version until it is stable. However, I really want to try the Xcode intelligence features. Do you guys just update your Mac to the latest beta version? Or do you partition your drive? Is there a better way than partitioning now? It's been a long time since I partitioned. Thanks
To Use Xcode Intelligence Features should I partition my drive?
Personally, I never update to the latest betas on my development Mac. If I did that I wouldn't be able to continue developing my existing apps in older versions of Xcode on a stable platform.
I have a separate Mac that I use for betas. If you only have one Mac, then you could partition your drive, or use a virtual machine; either should work perfectly well.
I have been unable to use the AI features in a UTM VM. Have people had better luck with Parallels?
Local LLMs with LM Studio works in Xcode 26 beta 1 on UTM virtual machine with Tahoe installed. ChatGPT does not work as on VM you are unable to setup Apple Intelligence. I got quite a few crashes as well. Overall, this has huge potential.
