Xcode's AI not in the EU?

Is it just because it's still so early or are we not getting the feature in the EU for the time being?

My guess is that the whole feature isn't available yet. It's not just the EU.

I don't even see the standard predictive code in Settings > Components either.

Just checked Xcode 26 Beta on Sequoia, the Predictive Code Completion Model is there.

I've tried various changes to Region / Language / Time Zone but that hasn't changed from "This feature is currently not available in your region".

However, I just noticed that under Apple Intelligence, "Apple intelligence is not available when starting your Mac from an external volume". I don't have a spare Mac, so external is the only way right now.

Welcome to day one WWDC. What you see on the glossy packaging isn't always what is in the downloadable box.

The solution I'm now looking at is freeing up at least 100GB from my Mac and use APFS to re-partition the live drive - yes you can do this, one of the benefits of APFS.

Could you try this? Talking about this in Bsky a developer for Germany said that it's working with these settings:

  1. Update to macOs Tahoe
  2. Siri language in English
  3. System language also in English

I can't confirm by myself, sorry.

I've just been able to get it running with Xcode 26 and macOS Tahoe in the UK.

It works for me, in Germany. I have updated my system to macOS Tahoe. Siri: German System Language: German

If you haven't seen the Xcode 26 Beta Release Notes yet, start there, in the section titled Coding Intelligence. There are a few items listed as known issues pertaining to macOS settings that you may have disabled.

If you've ruled that out and you still see this screen, then we'd like to know more in a bug report that contains an Xcode sysdiagnose. Please post the FB number here if you create a bug report.

Thanks everyone for the replies, the problem was that I had installed the beta on an external SSD. Apple Intelligence only works on an internal hard drive, so I have now installed the beta on another APFS volume and it works.
