App "In Review" for a week now

My app which requires a crucial update, I have over 40 user emails saying the app is broken after the new macOS update, I patched the issue and submitted to appstore.

it's been a week all I see is, app "In Review" I tried submitting expedited review and I just get 502 error.

I am very close to migrating off App Store and distributing it on my own.

do you have any ideas as to what I can do on my end besides, wait for reviewers to open my app.

I've submitted demo video and everything I can do on my end has been done.

the app was approved a while ago.

I don't know how to respond to users emails, besides telling them well, you're out of luck kiddo, don't update macOS again?

App Store review process feels like a black box, no communication from Apple's end.

ended up exporting the latest release as a zip file and emailing affected clients, problem solved 👍

App is still waiting for review, I think bypassing App Store was the only quick fix

this is not ideal

update: still in review phase, I am glad I chose to send the users binary directly, outside of appstore
