I have updated to the iOS 18 public beta, and when I am not watching or listening to something, my sound is locked and I can’t change it. I cannot hear anything and my haptics have gone off. I have looked in sound settings and accessibility settings and nothing has worked. I have also tried to restart my phone.
I‘ve sort of fixed this by entering an app that requires volume, (i.e Instagram), and mutiny and unmuting a reel and waiting. It should unlock after that.
This may work but I am looking for a more permanent solution. Thank you for this suggestion though.
